Пожалуй, одна из самых популярных тем в дрессировке собак «когда начинать дрессировку?» Ответ простой: сейчас. Это не обязательно означает, что вам нужно бежать на собачью площадку, но воспользоваться помощью кинолога, если вы новичок, хорошая затея. Вам нужно научиться подкреплять то, что вам нравится в поведении щенка и грамотно убирать то, что не приемлемо.
Когда ваш щенок делает что-то, вы должны спросить себя: “я хочу, чтобы он делал это, когда ему будет 3 года и он будет весить 80 кг?». Рискнул бы сказать, что причина по которой многие владельцы отдают своих собак в приюты в том, что они никогда не задумывались, что милые щенячьи шалости могут перейти и во взрослую жизнь собаки.
Это мило и весело, когда ваш щенок покусывает руки, но когда собака вырастает, людям перестаёт это нравиться. Ваша семья и гости любят поощрять вашего щенка за то, что он прыгает на них, когда они приходят… Но они же находят это неприятным и возмутительным когда щенок становится взрослой собакой. Некоторые разрешают щенку лежать на кровати или диване, но потом начинают жаловаться, что их взрослая немецкая овчарка рычит, когда они пытаются выгнать её с мебели.
Когда начинать дрессировку?
При воспитании щенка важно убедиться, что вы не поощряете (и не усиливаете) поведение, которое Вы бы не хотели видеть у взрослой собаки. Собака не сможет понять почему то, что всегда было можно и поощрялось, вдруг стало под запретом. Это негуманно и не честно с вашей стороны по отношению к вашему другу. Вы как ответственный владелец и опекун должны объяснить собаке правила жизни с вами с детства. Ровно с того момента как щенок появился у вас дома.
Если вы читаете это, и у вас уже взрослая собака, у которой уже есть проблемы с поведением, не расстраивайтесь. Не считайте что «поезд ушёл» и с этим ничего нельзя поделать. При правильном обучении и подходе это можно исправить. Просто нужно решить проблему сейчас, и не позволить ей закрепиться и укорениться. Обратитесь к кинологу, он сможет выявить причину такого поведения и подобрать методы коррекции. Использовать советы из интернета и «бывалых собачников» не самое удачное решение, у собак есть множество особенностей (индивидуальные, породные, особенности ваших взаимоотношений и т.д). Такие советы могут усугубить ситуацию и сделать только хуже.
В воспитание щенка вам нужно будет вкладываться минимум год, полтора. Ваша комфортная жизнь с собакой равна вложенному в неё труду и сил за этот период. Старая поговорка «унция профилактики стоит фунта лечения” весьма справедлива. Давайте сделаем жизнь для себя и наших собак проще, комфортнее и приятнее.
