Изучение поведения методом повторения является социальным обучением и многие годы считалось, что собаки не способны на это. Предполагалось, что только люди и приматы способны к умственным процессам такого высокого уровня. Шимпанзе были первыми протестированными животными.
Метод обучения под названием «Делай как я» становится все более популярным. Этот метод подробно описан в книге его создателя Клаудии Фугацзы «Делай как я: использование социального обучения для дрессировки собак». Он демонстрирует большие перспективы как новый инструмент дрессировки. Собаки сначала учатся копировать людей на простых действиях, получая положительный маркер при правильных реакциях. Затем вводится команда «делай как я». Как только собака начинает понимать значение этой команды, действия можно начать делать более сложными. В завершении обучения нужное действие ставят на отдельную команду, что бы человеку не приходилось каждый раз показывать собаке, что нужно сделать.
Фугацца и Адам Миклоси (из Университета им. Этвеша Лоранда, Будапешт, Венгрия) недавно опубликовали исследование, сравнивающее эффективность двух методов обучения: «делай как я» и «кликер /шейпинг». В этом исследовании они пишут, что метод «делай как я» более эффективен для обучения собак взаимодействию с объектом, чем тренировка «шейпинг / кликер». Для обучения же движению тела, оба методы одинаково эффективны.
Собаки, которые учились по методу «Делай как я», могли лучше запомнить поведение и могли начать понимать голосовой сигнал через 24 часа после первоначальной тренировки. Кроме того, они лучше обобщали свое обучение и выполняли поведение при новых факторах.
Авторы исследования пришли к выводу: этот новый метод, основанный на социальном обучении, более эффективен, чем использование кликера.
Но все же это не совсем верно. В методике «Делай как я» собаки обучаются наблюдению и повторению, но они также имеют подкрепление нужного поведения, а это означает, что метод включает в себя оперантную обусловленность. Другими словами, собаки учатся с помощью комбинирования этих двух методов. Существуют убедительные доказательства того, что использование техники «делай как я» улучшает обучение собак, но не совсем справедливо утверждать, что это лучше, чем использование оперантной подготовки.
В любом случае техника обучения «Делай как я» вызывает восхищение. Вполне вероятно, что через несколько лет мы будем удивляться почему не использовали её ранее. Это совершенно не означает, что другие методы плохи. Как пишет сама Фугацца: «Мы не должны ограничиваться использованием одного единственного метода обучения. Настоящее мастерство состоит в комбинировании».
