Приучение щенка к туалету на улице
Приучением щенка к туалету желательно начинать заниматься с первых прогулок, после окончания карантина. В нашей статье “как приучить щенка к пеленке” мы рассказывали как подгадать момент похода в туалет у собаки.
Щенок с большой вероятностью сходит в туалет:
- сразу после пробуждения
- после еды
- во время или сразу после активных игр
- во время или сразу после очень радостного, крайне эмоционального для щенка события
Если вывести собаку на прогулку после этих событий, щенок сходит в туалет на улице.
Теперь рассмотрим распорядок дня при приучении щенка к туалету на улице подробнее.
Проснувшись утром, попробуйте сработать на опережение. Подготовьтесь к прогулке максимально быстро, возьмите щенка на руки и вынесите на улицу. Во избежание казусов в лифте или в парадной, не спускайте щенка с рук пока не выйдете на улицу.
Чтобы справить нужду щенок выберет удобное для себя место, просто следуйте за собакой, дайте свободно обнюхать землю, чтобы щенок определился с местом.
Как только щенок сходит в туалет, радостно похвалите его и дайте кусочек очень вкусного лакомства. Вы даже можете использовать отдельное лакомство для поощрения за туалет. Самое любимое и ароматное, которое щенок будет получать непосредственно как поощрение за туалет на улице.
Важно! Не начинайте хвалить щенка, пока он не закончил справлять нужду, этим вы только собьете процесс и отвлечете собаку.
Если за одну прогулку ваш щенок сходил в туалет несколько раз, хвалить и давать лакомство необходимо каждый раз! А так же, очень важно не переставать поощрять собаку, пока привычка ходить в туалет только на улице не сформируется полностью.
Если у вас есть возможность ежедневно выходить с щенком на прогулку несколько раз в день, то оптимально придерживаться следующего графика:
3 месяца — 5 прогулок
4 месяца — 4-5 прогулок
6 месяцев — 3-4 прогулки
9 месяцев — 2-3 прогулки
Желательно, чтобы собака в возрасте до года гуляла не менее 3 часов в день (*при условии нормальных погодных условий и температурного режима).
Если же вписать в свой распорядок многоразовые прогулки невозможно, то выберите одинаковое время для ежедневных прогулок. В остальное время, щенок будет пользоваться пеленкой.
Полный перенос туалета на улицу:
Если возраст щенка позволяет сократить количество прогулок до 2, посмотрите какие пеленки дома щенок уже не использует и от которых можно отказаться. Оставьте 1 пеленку которой щенок пользуется больше всего.
Тщательно помойте пол во всей квартире раствором уксуса (1 часть уксуса на 10 частей воды). После раствора уксуса можете протереть полы обычным моющим средством. Это необходимо чтобы убрать запах мочи, уксус отлично убирает гормональную составляющую, содержащуюся в моче.
Если щенок по привычке сходил в туалет туда, где ранее лежала пеленка — протрите место раствором уксуса, но не кладите пеленку снова. Помните, что после игр, а так же после радостных событий приводящих к перевозбуждению собаки (например приход гостей) нужно вывести собаку на улицу.
В идеале у вас формируются долгие прогулки по стандартному графику в одинаковое время и дополнительные гигиенические прогулки на пару минут, при необходимости.
Когда у вас получится прожить 7-10 дней без луж дома, убирайте все пеленки.
Если прошло более двух недель без луж дома, то гигиенические прогулки можно постепенно убирать, оставляя лишь прогулки по выбранному графику.
